Cancellation & refunds

Cancel in two clicks. Keep every document.

The whole policy: cancel whenever you like, the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and payments are not refunded — which is what the free 30 days are for.

The short version

You can cancel whenever you like, from the billing portal, in two clicks. Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not refund the last one.

How cancelling works

Open the billing portal — Stripe signs you in by emailing a link to the address on your subscription — and cancel there. Your plan then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep Plus or Pro until that date, and you are not billed again.

You can also cancel from inside Skywriter: the Account panel opens the same portal.

No refunds

Payments are not refunded, in whole or in part, including for unused time in a period you have paid for.

This is why every account starts with 30 days of Plus at no charge, granted the first time you sign in, with no card to enter: the trial is there so that you can find out whether the tools are worth paying for before any money changes hands. If you never buy anything, nothing is ever charged.

Where the law where you live gives you a refund right that this policy cannot remove, that right stands. Write to us and we will honour it.

Nothing is held hostage

Whether you cancel, let a payment fail, or simply stop paying, your documents stay yours: open, editable and exportable in the free app, with everything already in them — tables, tracked changes, letterhead — still rendering. A lapse never locks a document.

Something went wrong with a charge?

If you were billed for something you did not buy, or a charge looks wrong, write to support@getskywriter.com with the email address on the subscription and we will look into it. A billing error is not a refund request, and we fix those.

The full subscription terms are on the Terms page.

Thirty days, no card.

Every account starts with 30 days of Plus, granted the first time you sign in. That is what stands in for a refund: you find out before you pay.
