Compare the three
Start here and try it: a real word processor that opens and hands off DOCX and PDF — no account, no card, no time limit.
Plus puts the model on board: Skywrite, the AI panel, Skyfill and Templatize — all running on your own Mac — plus the phone companion. Annual pricing is shown at checkout. Your first 30 days of Plus are free, and they start the first time you sign in.
Pro is everything in Plus and the power tools with it: tables & spreadsheets, headers, footers & page setup, images, signatures & letterhead, track changes, and Presenter — unlocked in place, in the document you already have open. Annual pricing is shown at checkout. Already subscribed? Manage billing.

Skywriter is in beta. Plus is $2.99 a month and Pro is $5.99 a month at the launch prices, billed through Stripe. Every account gets 30 days of Plus free, granted the first time you sign in — no card, nothing to enter, and nothing charged when it ends. Cancel any time from the billing portal: your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and there are no refunds. A lapse never locks a document — anyone writing with Skywriter keeps writing with it. The full terms are on the Terms page, and the cancellation policy on the Refunds page.
01 — How to buy
Three steps, no salesperson.
Download and write
The editor is free, with no account and no time limit. Sign in when you want the model on board — that first sign-in starts your 30 days of Plus.
Pick a plan
Buy Plus or Pro from this page or from the app’s own Account panel — either way checkout runs through Stripe. Buying here, sign in afterwards with the email you used at checkout and restart Skywriter; buying in the app, the tools light up at the next launch. Already on Plus? Upgrading to Pro is one button in the app.
Manage it yourself
Invoices, card and cancellation live in Stripe’s hosted portal. Leaving takes two clicks; your plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing is refunded.
02 — The billing portal
Stripe holds the card. We never see it.
Plus and Pro are billed by Stripe: receipts, payment method and cancellation all live in their hosted portal. Changing plan is a button inside Skywriter rather than a portal setting, so the change is priced and taxed the same way the purchase was. Two clicks to leave, and nothing of yours is held hostage on the way out.
The billing portal is operated by Stripe, which signs you in by emailing a login link to the address on your subscription. Skywriter does not have a web sign-in.
A subscription buys tools, not custody of your writing.
